John L. Scheese, 75, of Towanda, Pa., died May 26 at Manor Care in Troy, Pa.
Born in Trenton, and formerly of Yardley, Pa., he had resided in Towanda for the past 26 years.
Mr. Scheese was a retired technician with Farm and Home Gas Service, Wyalusing, Pa. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Son of the late Arthur and Mae Scheese, he was husband of the late Erma Banks Scheese, father of the late Wayne Scheese, brother of the late Elsie Lang and stepbrother of the late Elsie Grimmer. He is survived by two sons, John R. Scheese of Pennington and Leroy Scheese of Milford; a daughter, Julie C. Scheese of Pemberton; two brothers, Arthur Scheese of Wyalusing, Pa., and Richard Scheese of Dugway, Utah; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Michael and Kevin Scheese; and two nieces, Cheryl and April Lang.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday (June 1) at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Ave (River Road), Yardley, Pa.
Burial will follow at Newtown Cemetery, Newtown, Pa.
