ARCHITECTURE
   Ford Farewell Mills & Gatsch, Architects, have announced the promotion of Lorine Murray-Mechini to partner. She has been with the firm since 1985 and has managed several of its most prestigious and successful projects. She will continue to participate in the firm’s significant portfolio of cultural and educational work, which currently includes design of a new performing arts facility at Rowan University and comprehensive renovation of the New Jersey State Museum. Recently, Ms. Murray-Mechini completed the multi-phased renovation and expansion of Robertson Hall at Princeton University.
   She is currently serving as the New Jersey Membership Contact and a member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of the Society for College and University Planners and has joined the board of directors of the Princeton YWCA. Ms. Murray-Mechini resides in Montgomery Township.
LAW
   Vincent A. Vietti has joined the Duane Morris Princeton office as a partner. Formerly a partner at Buchanan Ingersoll and most recently at Spector Gadon & Rosen, Mr. Vietti practices in the areas of corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions, venture capital and securities law. He serves as outside corporate counsel to a number of small- and mid-sized public and private companies, and assists clients in complying with SEC reporting obligations, NASDAQ and NYSE rules, and state securities laws.
   Also joining the Princeton office as an associate is Alex Soufflas, who was Mr. Vietti’s colleague at his prior firm.
   Duane Morris, one of the nation’s 100 largest law firms, is a full-service firm of approximately 550 lawyers. Their Princeton office is on College Road West in Plainsboro.
HEALTH & MEDICINE
   Carrier Clinic recently appointed Sarah Geser of Franklin Park as clinical director of the East Mountain Youth Lodge. She has been employed by Carrier since 1996 and has served as a therapist and supervisor for adolescent residential services.
   Also recently appointed was Anthony Cartusciello of Pennington. Mr. Cartusciello will be serving as residential director of East Mountain. Employed by Carrier since 1996, he had been serving as the assistant director of residential services since 1997.
   In addition, Marilyn Rohrbach of Dayton is now the administrative director of admissions. Ms. Rohrbach previously served as director of patient access at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, where she was responsible for the daily operations of areas including inpatient/outpatient registration, financial counseling and emergency care registration.
   Carrier Clinic is a private, nonprofit behavioral healthcare system located in Montgomery.

   Scientific Frontiers Inc. recently announced several new additions to its company, including Katherine V. Mann of Princeton, who is the new vice president in medical services and strategic development.
   Ms. Mann has previously held positions at the American Oncologic Hospital, the McNeil Consumer Products Company and Adis International.
   Scientific Frontiers specializes in strategic consulting and medical communications services. They have offices in Newtown, Pa., Parsippany and Chicago.
BUSINESS ADVOCACY
   Peg Forrestel, CPA, director of contributions and community affairs at Janssen Pharmaceutica, has joined the board of directors of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce.
   The Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization of approximately 800 members, whose mission is to serve, speak for business and promote an environment for business growth.
PRESIDENTIAL APPOINTMENT
   Ivan Becker, chairman of Greater Princeton SCORE, is one of nine prominent Americans appointed by President George W. Bush to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, the governing body of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. The council consists of 55 presidential appointees, 10 congressional representatives and three ex-officio members from the departments of Education, Interior and State. The five-year term expires in January, 2009.
   Mr. Becker, of Princeton, is a Holocaust survivor from Budapest, Hungary, who was rescued by Raoul Wallenberg. He came to the United States in 1946 and founded the Edison Plastics Division of the Blessings Corporation. He served as Blessing’s president and chief operating officer, and later as its CEO. Now retired, he serves as chairman of the Greater Princeton Chapter of the Service Corps of Retired Executives and is a member of the International Executive Service Corps. Active in Holocaust education, he regularly speaks to students about his experiences.
ENGINEERING
   Stephen D. Hasselbach, owner of CMI Plastics in Cranbury, was recently honored as 2004 Thermoformer of the Year by the Society of Plastics Engineers. Much of the plant’s clientele is from the pharmaceutical industry, which uses thermoformed packaging. Mr. Hasselbach has been a member of the board of directors of the Society of Plastics Engineers – Thermoforming Division for 20 years, has lectured on thermoforming at Rutgers University and acts as a technical consultant to many consumer product manufacturers that have in-plant packaging plants.
TECHNOLOGY
   Dow Jones & Company, publisher of world business and financial news, won three Codie Awards from the Software & Information Industry Association. The awards recognize excellence in the software, information and education industries. Dow Jones’ three awards were for its electronic publishing segment. The Wall Street Journal Online (www.WSJ.com) won two awards — Best Online Business News and Best Online Science/Technology/Medical News. A Best Financial Information Service award went to Dow Jones NewsPlus, a Web-based news, features and market information enhancement to its newswire service.
MARKETING
   Creative Marketing Alliance Inc. was honored with three Jersey Awards for excellence at the New Jersey Advertising Club’s 36th annual Jersey Awards Competition and dinner.
   CMA received two first-place awards and one third-place award. Based in West Windsor, Creative Marketing Alliance is a full-service marketing communications company celebrating more than 15 years of service and more than 140 industry awards.

   Oxford Communications of Lambertville recently announced the appointment of Brandon Rabinowitz as a junior account executive.
   A resident of Holland, Pa., Mr. Rabinowitz will be responsible for providing support to Oxford’s account services department, as well as assisting with the agency’s research in new business efforts.
   Previously, Mr. Rabinowitz worked as an advertising buyer for Cottman Transmission Corporation. He graduated summa cum laude in May of 2002 from Temple University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising.
   Oxford Communications provides advertising, public relations and graphic design services for a growing client base in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware. The company recently celebrated its 19th anniversary and won three Philly Gold Awards, as well as seven Astra Awards from the New Jersey Communications, Advertising and Marketing Association.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
   Cranbury resident Robert Dilatush was named a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table by Prudential Financial Inc. A sales professional with Prudential’s Greater Princeton agency located in Plainsboro, life membership is based on his demonstration of exceptional professional knowledge, strict ethical conduct and outstanding client services, an honor awarded to only a small percentage of life insurance representatives.
RECREATION
   Golf Digest honored The Ridge at Back Brook with two 2003 America’s Best New Course awards earlier this year. Named the second best private course east of the Mississippi and sixth best private track in America, the Tom Fazio-designed course was also named New Jersey’s Best New Private Golf Course. The Ridge has been carefully integrated into a 300-acre pastoral setting on Wertsville Road in East Amwell Township with natural features including the Back Brook and smaller tributaries, ridges with unique rock wall faces and dense stands of century-old trees.

ENERGY
   WorldWater Corporation, based in Pennington, recently named James S. Brown, formerly of Houston, to the position of vice president-chief financial officer.
   Mr. Brown, who is looking to move to the Princeton area, has extensive financial experience in the energy industry. He was director of structured finance, Americas, for Entergy Wholesale Operations in Houston; project finance director for El Paso Energy International, Houston; and vice president for Westmoreland Energy, Charlottesville, Va.
   He succeeds Terri Harris, former vice president-controller.
