Air Force Airman Odayah K. Kaplan recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, Kaplan studied the air force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches; and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises and special training in human relations. Additionally, airmen completing basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. A 2001 graduate of Keyport High School, Kaplan is the daughter of Gayle and Mordechai Kaplan of Keyport.
Army Pfc. Sean V. Stegner recently graduated from the intelligence and electronic warfare intercept systems repairer course at Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista, Ariz. The course is designed to train soldiers to maintain high, very high, ultra high and microwave frequency receivers; process and store equipment, computer peripherals, antennas, modulators, signal monitors, and directional finding equipment associated with electronic warfare/intercept systems; test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment using meters, scopes, signal generators, analyzers, diagrams, logic and flow charts, schematics, and other measurement and diagnostic equipment. A 2001 graduate of Middletown High School North, Stegner is the son of Amy E. and Peter L. Stegner of the Belford section of Middletown.

Airman Alexander P. Falzon, a 2001 graduate of Middletown High School North, and the son of Mark Falzon of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown;
Airman Christopher H. Kenny, a 2001 graduate of Middletown High School North, and the son of Joyce and Theodore Kenny of Middletown; and
Reserve Airman 1st Class Vincent N. Pannucci, a 2001 graduate of Mater Dei High School, New Monmouth section of Middletown, and the son of Kathy Pannucci of Holmdel.
