Rutgers University’s Greg Ostrowicki finished second in the Decathlon at the Big East Track and Field Championships held at Rutgers. Ostrowicki, a junior, compiled 6,843 points finishing second to his Scarlet Knight teammate Trevor O’Grady, who scored 7,212 points in the 10 events. Ostrowicki finished first among the decathletes in two events, the long jump (22-8 1/2) and high jump (6-8 1/4). Rutgers’ men were second to Notre Dame.
At the IC4A Championships held at Yale University in New Haven, Conn., Ostrowicki finished fifth (6,742). Rajne Svenssohn of Manhattan finished first, 7,411. The Rutgers men were second to Army.
Ostrowicki is a graduate of Howell High School where he was a multi-event star for the Rebels track and field team.
