Free classes offered at Middletown Senior Center

The Middletown Senior Center has announced it will offer free weekly classes and group activities for residents 60 and older. The center is at Croydon Hall, 900 Leonardville Road, Leonardo section of Middletown.

Senior shape-up is held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10-11 a.m. A bridge group meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon, and a craft group Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to noon. A walking group meets Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. A computer class will be held Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Line dancing is offered Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon, and a crochet and needlecraft group meets Thursdays at 11 a.m.

No advance registration is required, but participants must be registered members of the senior center (new members can register for free upon arrival for participation in a program). Transportation is available, but must be arranged in advance for new and current members.

The center will hold a meeting July 23 at 9 a.m. to register new members, and newly retired residents are encouraged to attend. Registration is free to Middletown residents 60 and older. The meeting will provide information about center activities and services, and refreshments will be served.
