Guide lists places to go,
things to do in county
A just-released magazine provides the latest information on what’s happening in Monmouth County.
The 54-page magazine by the Monmouth County Department of Economic Development and Tourism includes a perforated map and lists lodgings, indoor and outdoor recreation, sports, parks, beaches, theaters, historic sites and more, with addresses and phone numbers. Listings are by category to make an event or destination easy to find.
The magazine also gives listings by season — to find a Christmas house tour, a fall foliage route, a spring hike, or a place to picnic or enjoy the beach. It also lists places to shop, fish, visit lighthouses or amusement parks, play golf, or watch thoroughbred or harness racing.
Copies of New Jersey’s Monmouth County are available at visitor centers and major highway rest areas; at the department, 31 E. Main St., Freehold; by calling (800) 523-2587; by e-mailing [email protected]; or by visiting the Web site www.visitmonmouth.com/tourism and completing an information request.
