Five days of all-American fun begin today at the East Freehold Park Showgrounds, Freehold Township, with the annual Monmouth County Fair. This year’s schedule includes some special and unique attractions, as well as traditional amusement rides, midway games, food, 4-H activities, competitions, crafts, exhibits, and stage entertainment by The Nerds, DeSol, Saturday Night Fever, The Fox Brothers, and Bluegrass Festival.
The fair runs July 21-25 at the fair grounds, Kozloski Road. Hours are 5-11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 per person; children age 12 and younger will be admitted free.
