Mrs. Comstock, 82, of the Clarksburg section of Millstone, died July 16 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Stoughton, Mass., she had lived in North Brunswick before moving to Clarksburg 20 years ago. She was a member of Georges Road Baptist Church, North Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Wilmer Comstock; a son, Wil Comstock of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Linda Comstock of Clarksburg and Jeannette Mueller of East Brunswick; and three grandchildren. Emily M. Palser
Mrs. Palser, 64, of Manalapan, died July 9 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved to Manalapan 34 years ago. Mrs. Palser worked for the Freehold Regional High School District for 22 years, the last 15 years as secretary in the nurse’s office at Marlboro High School, retiring in 2003. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan. She was predeceased by her son, James, in 1996. Mrs. Palser is survived by her husband of 44 years, James; and a daughter, Emily Suzanne, at home. Mae Estelle Hicks
Mrs. Hicks, 68, of Howell died July 11 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Linden, she had lived in Millstone before moving to Howell eight years ago. Prior to retiring six years ago, she was a customer service representative for Sam’s Club, Freehold Township, for three years. She had previously worked for 30 years at Brockway Glass Co., Freehold, as a supervisor. Surviving are a son, Stephen Robert Hicks of Howell; a sister, Agnes Geades of Danville, Ill.; and two nephews, Andrew Scott Korzenok of Howell, and Michael Andrew Korzenok of Granville, Ohio. Graveside services were held at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan, with. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, in charge of arrangements.
Pauline E. Franklin-Stout
Mrs. Franklin-Stout, 85, of South Brunswick died July 8 at Park Place Center, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, she resided in Milltown, East Brunswick and Freehold Township before moving to South Brunswick. Mrs. Franklin-Stout was a school aide at Freehold Township High School before her retirement. Prior to that, she was employed at Jamesway, Freehold Township, and Idea’s Shoppe, South River. She was a member of the choir at Imperial Music Center, South River. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward A. Franklin Sr., in 1967; her second husband, James A. Stout, in 1985; a twin sister, Pearl Cathcart; and a son, Ronald W. Franklin. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis E. and Voncile Franklin of Winter Springs, Fla., and Edward A. and Beth Franklin Jr. of Milltown; a daughter-in-law, Linda Franklin of Helmetta; a sister, Goldie Andrews of California; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Interment was at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Arrangements were by C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia.
