No county fair could be complete without vendors. However, it is the variety and quality of these vendors that help to determine the success of any fair.
Monmouth County Fair officials believe they have a collection of 75 or so vendors for this year’s event that is guaranteed to satisfy young and old alike. The fair runs from July 21-25 at the East Freehold Park Showgrounds on Kozloski Road in Freehold Township.
Fairgoers will be able to enjoy the tastes of summer, learn about local services and businesses, and, at the same time, buy crafts, T-shirts and more.
Tasty fast foods have been, and still are, staples of any fair. Hot dogs and zeppole are standard fair food, but this year’s vendors will also be tempting fairgoers with such tasty items as kettle korn and crab cakes. Others will be selling hamburgers, chicken nuggets, pizza and salads. There will also be funnel cake and ices.
Commercial vendors will be selling everything from boats to home improvement services, lawn services, kitchen gadgets and pet supplies.
Representatives of the departments that make up county government will be on hand to offer information about human services, tourism, the mosquito commission, the library system, the health department and more.
The Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department will provide resources for families and will teach children how to use the 911 call system for emergencies.
