Olga (Zolnerchik) Fernandez of Monroe died Saturday, July 17, at Monroe Village Health Care Center, Monroe Township.
Born and raised in Bayonne, Ms. Fernandez lived in the Covered Bridge community in Manalapan for 23 years before moving to Monroe two years ago. Ms. Fernandez was the former owner of McIlroy’s Liquors of Bayonne. She was a volunteer at Bayonne Hospital.
Her husband, Raymond "Brud" Fernandez, and two sisters, Jeanne Papaccio and Mary Fernandez, are deceased. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alexis and Daniel Snell of Summit; a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Catherine Fernandez of Monroe; three grandchildren, Kathleen Reavy and her husband, Thomas, of Newtown, Pa., Raymond Fernandez and his wife, Sara, of Kendall Park and Alexandra Dougherty of Waretown, Mass.; and two great-grandchildren, Rachell and Alex Fernandez.
Services were held Monday, July 19, at Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Embracing Hospice Care, 2101 Highway 43 South, Suite B, Wall Township, N.J. 07719. E-mail condolences may be sent to [email protected].
