Princeton Bicycling Event slated for Aug. 7

Cyclists from many states are expected at Mercer County Community College on Saturday, Aug. 7 for the 24th annual Princeton Bicycling Event, which offers rides of various lengths through the countryside around the Princeton and central New Jersey area.
Seven tours from 16 to 100 miles are available for all levels of experience, from beginning adult to expert rider. Anyone who rides a bicycle safely and wears an approved cycling helmet is welcome to participate.
Sponsored by the Princeton Free Wheelers, and supported by many area businesses, the rides begin and end at MCCC in West Windsor. Services include free parking, rest rooms, vendors and emergency help, and water and snack stops on all routes.
A post-ride lunch (including a vegetarian option and dessert) is included with the registration fee of $25 ($10 for ages 16 and under).
The Princeton Free Wheelers sponsor Saturday and Sunday rides in the Central Jersey area each weekend during the year, and evening rides in the summer.
