Schoor, Kramer, Kaempffer
tapped for board of directors
Sun Bancorp elected Howard M. Schoor, former chairman of Community Bancorp of New Jersey, and Eli Kramer and Charles P. Kaempffer, former directors of Community Bancorp of New Jersey, to Sun’s board of directors. According to a press release from Sun Bancorp, Schoor, Kramer and Kaempffer led Community Bancorp of New Jersey to its position as a major community bank in Monmouth County. Community Bancorp of New Jersey merged with Sun Bancorp earlier this month.
Schoor founded Community Bank of New Jersey in 1997 and served as chairman until the bank merged with Sun Bancorp this year. He is also the founder and chairman emeritus, as well as the former chief executive officer of Schoor DePalma Inc. He is an ongoing supporter and active participant in numerous local charitable and civic community activities. He currently serves on the board of directors of Collier Services and the regional board of the American Heart Association. Schoor has served as honorary campaign chairman of the CentraState Medical Center Foundation’s Radiation Therapy Center, trustee of the CentraState Medical Center Foundation, the Monmouth County Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and as director and vice president of the Jewish Federation of Monmouth County. Schoor is a Colts Neck resident.
Kramer co-founded Community Bank of New Jersey and served as vice chairman of the board of directors until July. He is co-founder and principal in L.J. Kushner and Associates LLC, and serves on the board of directors of Karisma Tech Ltd. and Screenboard Technologies. He currently serves as a trustee on the boards of the Jewish Educational Center and the Holocaust Resource Center at Kean University.
Kaempffer co-founded Community Bank of New Jersey and served as vice chairman of the board of directors until July. He is the director and trustee of Monmouth Capital Corp. and United Mobile Homes, and serves as president and managing partner of various commercial, office and industrial real estate ventures. He serves as director, officer and trustee of the YMCA of Western Monmouth County, a position he has held for 25 years, as a 16-year trustee and vice chairman of CentraState Medical Center, and as an active member of the Freehold Rotary. Kaempffer is a lifetime resident of Monmouth County and resides in Colts Neck.
