Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, will offer several free programs during August at SCAN Learning Center, beginning with the Parkinson’s disease support group Aug. 3. The meeting will be held from 10-11 a.m., followed by the optional "Ease into Exercise" at a fee of $3 from 11 a.m. to noon.
"Cataracts and Other Aging Eye Issues" will be presented by John M. Ghobrial, M.D., ophthalmologist, Aug. 11 from 1-3 p.m. "Vertebroplasty: New Treatment for Back Pain" will be presented by Gina L. Louis, M.D., radiologist, Aug. 25 from 1-2 p.m.
Registration is required for all programs, which are free to SCAN members. Membership is free, and open to individuals age 50 and older. The learning center is located at Monmouth Mall, Eatontown.
