RED BANK — Borough police reported that an unidentified male exposed himself to an 18-year-old female on Route 35 sometime before 6 p.m. July 22.

The victim reported that while traveling south on Route 35 in Holmdel, she noticed a white Ford pickup truck following her car.

She reported that the truck pulled up alongside her car and then dropped back and continued to follow her. She said this happened a number of times.

The victim said that when she was stopped at a traffic light, the driver of the truck stopped alongside her car. He then got out of the truck, the victim alleged, with his pants down, exposing himself to her.

The victim then continued on in traffic, with the man still following her. When she finally parked the vehicle, she reported that the driver of the pickup allegedly approached her and tried to speak with her. The victim then repeatedly honked her car horn.

The man got back into his pickup and drove away, and was last seen heading west on West Front Street.

According to police, the driver is described as a white male, between 35 and 38 years of age, with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

The incident comes only two weeks after a similar lewdness incident on Leighton Avenue was reported.

Lt. Steve McCarthy of the Red Bank Police Department said it is possible that the two cases are connected, but no links have been made between the two incidents.
