Sylvia Romano Hamm

Mrs. Hamm, 94, of East Brunswick, formerly of Old Bridge, died July 23 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Francis J. Hamm, died in 1985. Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen McCallin of Highland Ranch, Colo., and Sylvia Knecht of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a son, Richard of Monroe; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y. Mrs. Gayda, 85, of South River, formerly of Sayreville, died July 20 at home. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress with Brodsky and Sons, South River. Her husband, George, died in 1988, and a son, Lawrence, died in 1994. Surviving are two sons, George Gayda Jr. and Ronald Gayda, both of South River; two daughters, Carol Gayda of Cranford and Jean Johnson of South River; two sisters, Martha McCormick of New Brunswick and Ann Yastine of South Bound Brook; two brothers, Chester Soberanski of Las Vegas and Albert Soberanski of Denver, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchil­dren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

John Robert Dabroski

Mr. Dabroski, 39, of Spotswood died July 21 in Robert Wood Johnston University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was prede­ceased by his father, Joseph Dabroski Sr. Surviving are his mother, Mary Corrado Dabroski; two brothers, Joseph Jr. of Monroe and James of the Monmouth Junction sec­tion of South Brunswick; his maternal grandmother, Anna Corrado of Spotswood; and a nephew and a niece. A Mass was of­fered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Monroe. Memorial contributions may be made to the organ donor program at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia.

Francesco Sanfilippo

Mr. Sanfilippo, 59, of Old Bridge died July 21 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to his retirement in 1996, he was a machine operator for 29 years with Continental Baking Co., East Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Josephine; a son, Gaetano, and a daughter, Josephine, both at home; five brothers, Angelo of Bayonne, Silvio of Pennsylvania, Attilio of the West Berlin section of Berlin Township and Salvatore and Nicholas, both of Philadelphia; and a sister, Rosina of West Berlin. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Ann Mroz Sokolowski

Mrs. Sokolowski, 83, of Eatontown, for­merly of Sayreville and South River, died July 24 in Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Sokolowski, and by infant twin daugh­ters, Carol Ann and Donna Marie. Surviving are a son, Michael A. Sokolowski of Eatontown; a sister, Agnes Blaska of Manchester Township; and several nieces and nephews. A service was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Jennie Anita Kennedy

Mrs. Kennedy, 84, of South Amboy died July 24 at home. Surviving are her hus­band, Edward; two daughters, Maureen Kennedy Kappes of Yonkers, N.Y., and Lorraine Kennedy Dunn of Little Silver; two sisters, Ann Paladino and Mary Michalowski, both of Jamesburg; and two granddaughters. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

Anne Keough Krotosek

Mrs. Krotosek, 85, of East Brunswick died July 23 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Walter Krotosek, died in 1975. Surviving are two sons, Gregory Krotosek and Daniel Krotosek, both of East Brunswick. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Cemetery, South River.
