Mrs. Offerman, 82, of East Brunswick died Aug. 18 at home. Prior to her retirement in 1977, she was a bookkeeper at Carter-Wallace, Cranbury. Her husband, Halmut, died in 2003, and a son, Alvin, died in 1990. Surviving are two daughters, Susan Offerman and Jeannette Italiano, both of East Brunswick; a brother, Andrew Herrmann of Long Island, N.Y.; three sisters, Marie Lynch of Sarasota, Fla., Anna Broderick of Glendale, N.Y., and Helen Wilhelm of Ridgefield Park; and two granddaughters. Henrietta Poetsch Bailey
Mrs. Bailey, 98, of Sayreville died Aug. 18 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. She was a founding member and the oldest living member of Council No. 132 Delaware-Raritan Girl Scouts, East Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, John Bailey, and by three sons, John Bailey, Arthur Bailey and Arnold Bailey. Surviving are four daughters-in-law, Ruth Bailey, Carol Bailey, Rita Kolodziej and Caryl Poetsch-Bailey; eight grandchildren, Bernard Bailey, Michael Bailey, Debra Grose, Linda Linderman, Diane Bailey, Thomas Bailey, Scott Poetsch and Janet Marcinczyk; and eight great-grandchildren. Services were held at Christ Episcopal Church, South Amboy. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Richard F. Proctor
Mr. Proctor, 61, of South Amboy died Aug. 17 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Sheila Spear Proctor; two sons, Dwayne S. Proctor and Richard F. Proctor Jr., both of Marshalls Creek, Pa.; a sister, Betty Jane Mueller of Bethpage, Tenn.; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Christ Episcopal Church, South Amboy. Cremation was private.
TinaMarie Richardson
Ms. Richardson, 36, of Sayreville died Aug. 18 in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. Surviving are her mother, Sandra Knapp of Sayreville; her father, Richard Richardson of Massachusetts; a brother, Richard Richardson of the Beechwood section of Island Heights; her maternal grandfather, Anthony Pandolfo of the Iselin section of Woodbridge; her paternal grandparents, Jean and Charles Cooper of Florida; and two nephews. Wasyl Watamaniuk
Mr. Watamaniuk, 87, of the Parlin section of Old Bridge died Aug. 17 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1983, he was employed as a forklift operator with Sunshine Biscuits, Sayreville, where he worked for more than seven years. Prior to that, he worked for 14 years at Yonkers Plywood, Sayreville. Surviving are his wife, Inge Kruger Watamaniuk; a daughter, Sigrid Carpenter of Richland, Mich.; a son, Orest of McDonough, Ga.; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Cremation was private.
Dorothy "Jean" Elkins Jaeger
Mrs. Jaeger, 69, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge died Aug. 17 at home. Her husband, Capt. Cliff "Skip" Edwards of the Old Bridge Police Department, died in 1999. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Alphonsus; a sister-in-law, Mertice Elkins of Florida; three grandchildren, Ashley, Andrea and Jayson; and many nieces and nephews.
