Vincent F. Patten Jr.
Mr. Patten, 65, of Freehold Township, died Sept. 3 at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. Born in New York City, he lived there before moving to Freehold Township 35 years ago. A U.S. Army veteran, he received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Pace University, New York City, and was vice president of new products for the New York Stock Exchange, New York City. Surviving are his wife, Joan P. Gorman Patten; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Vincent F. III and Lisa M. Patten of Hamilton, Kevin M. and Ann M. Patten of Freehold Township, Timothy J. Patten of Freehold, and Thomas E. Patten of Freehold Township and his fiancée, Jennifer K. Boutote, also of Freehold Township; his mother, Mary M. Ledwith Patten of Cranford; a brother and sister-in-law, James R. and Claire Patten of Wayne; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by a funeral liturgy at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Interment took place at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics New Jersey, 3 Princess Road, Lawrenceville 08648.
Nancy Testa
Ms. Testa, 88, of Manalapan, died Sept. 2 at the Pine Brook Care Center, Manalapan. Born in Kearny, she had lived there before moving to Manalapan in 1981. Prior to retiring in 1976, she was a nurse’s aide for West Hudson Hospital, Kearny, for 25 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1302 Wilson-Gugelman Auxiliary, Kearny. Ms. Testa is survived by two brothers, Anthony Testa of Palm Coast, Fla., and Albert J. Testa of Manalapan. Funeral services were held at Our Lady of Mercy Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge, was in charge of arrangements.
Maureen Ann Fantasia
Mrs. Fantasia, 59, of Atlantic Highlands died Sept. 4 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was born in Jersey City and had lived in Manalapan before moving to Atlantic Highlands 10 years ago. Mrs. Fantasia was a homemaker. She was a past president of the Manalapan Soccer Association and was a member of the Manalapan Hall of Fame. She was a teacher of Confraternity of Christian Doctrine religious classes at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, and a communicant of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Highlands. Mrs. Fantasia is survived by her husband of 37 years, Leonard Fantasia; two daughters and a son-in-law, Laurie Fantasia of Belford, and Cheryl and Glen Wilder of Hazlet; two sisters, Patricia DeVito of Princeton Junction and Lois Curry of Caldwell; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Agnes Church, followed by burial at Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo section of Middletown. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.
Edward J. Clancy
Mr. Clancy, 86, of Freehold, died Sept. 3 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Freehold, he was a lifetime area resident. For more than 30 years, he worked as a butcher for Acme Markets. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, where for more than 50 years he also served as an usher. Surviving are a sister, Margaret Clancy of Freehold; a sister-in-law, Mary Clancy of the New Egypt section of Plumsted; a brother-in-law, Earl Hicks of Gloucester, Va.; three nieces, Colleen McGackin and her husband, Gerry, and Linda Haley, all of Newark, Del., and Karen Vierling and her husband, Jeffrey, of New Egypt; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Chapel, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
