The Havens Homestead Museum, 521 Herbertsville Road in Brick, is open for its fall season. Regular operating hours are Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon and Sundays from noon to 2 p.m. Tours of the museum are given during those hours. In addition, the Brick Township Historical Society, which operates the nonprofit museum, has scheduled a variety of fall events. Seating is limited for all of the following events. Call (732) 785-2500 for reservations.
• Sept. 26 — brunch will be served in the museum’s tavern room. The museum was once a stop on the stagecoach route, so the society aims to recreate the event, which once took place on a daily basis. Servers wear old-fashioned costumes. The donation is $10 per person. Seats are still available for the 9:30 a.m. brunch.
• Oct. 9 — the second “Afternoon Tea” of the year will take place. Costumed servers will present a tea in the tavern room that will include fresh fruit, finger sandwiches, and homemade cake and cookies. The donation is $20 per person.
