Siperstein’s Paint and Decorating Center, Manalapan, will present a seminar on home decorating and the Waverly Place product assortment Sept. 28, 7 p.m., at the store, 338 Route 9 north. The seminar will address home decorating and coordinating patterns, fabrics and wall coverings, presented by John Agrusa, a Waverly Place representative. Agrusa will also be available to answer questions.

Planet Fitness, Manalapan, will give away 30-day fitness memberships to anyone who donates a minimum of $1 toward the purchase of playground equipment for the Red Bank Charter School. The 30-day membership passes can be distributed to anyone who is not already a member of Planet Fitness. Purchase quantities are unlimited, and local merchants and business owners can distribute these passes to their employees as a means of promoting health and wellness in their company.

Century 21 Action Plus Realty will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new Jackson office location Sept. 25 at noon. The new branch office is at 10 North County Line Road. Century 21 Action Plus Realty’s main office is at 2218 Highway 9 south, Howell, and a new Freehold office is at 5 Route 33. All locations will operate in unison providing more than 110 sales associates with the support and full utilization of each office.

Positive Changes, which has locations in Manalapan and Holmdel, will offer a free seminar, “Successful Weight Loss Through Behavioral Modification: Changing Unwanted Habits for Better Health,” presented by Ross LaGumina, clinical director for Positive Changes. The seminar will be held Oct. 6, 7-8:30 p.m. at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, Manalapan, and will discuss hypnosis as a means of changing attitudes and behavior. Fran Skiba, owner and director of the Dance Den in Howell, has announced the addition of a new curriculum of Kindermusik now being taught at the studio. Celebrating 25 years at the Dance Den, Skiba is enthusiastic about incorporating the music-based program to the Dance Den.

Kindermusik is a developmentally appropriate music and movement program for children ages newborn through 7 and their parents. The music and movement curricula is continually developed and enhanced by incorporating the latest early childhood development research that shows that active participation in a music program is a powerful stimulant for a child’s total development. The program is designed to provide sound nutrition to improve movement, listening and expression in young children through activities and music-making skills for parents and children alike.

Sun National Bank has named Point Pleasant resident Mary Huff vice president and business banking relationship manager for Sun’s Eastern Regional Banking Group, which serves Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Huff’s primary responsibility is to develop and manage customer portfolios, and usher customers through the loan and credit approval processes. She also provides Sun customers with financial planning services and introduces customers to Sun’s specialized banking products.

Huff brings more than 16 years of banking experience to her position at Sun. Prior to joining Sun, she served as vice president and commercial loan officer for OceanFirst Bank in Toms River.
