College night Oct. 5
Ocean County College will host College Night 2004, Oct. 5 from 7-9 p.m. in the OCC gymnasium in Toms River. College night is free and open to the public. Representatives from 100 colleges and universities will be available to answer questions from prospective students. OCC students interested in transferring to upper-division schools and high school students and their parents are encouraged to attend. Information on financial aid will be available. Blood drive set for Oct. 2
Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, will kick off the 13th annual “Fright Fest” by joining forces with the American Red Cross in hosting a blood drive Oct. 2. All donors will receive a free ticket to “Fright Fest,” which is celebrated Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays in October plus Columbus Day, Oct. 11. The blood drive will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the park’s employment center. Donors must make a reservation by calling (732) 928-2000, ext. 2836. Donors must be 17 years of age or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.
