WEST LONG BRANCH — The Shore Regional High School Board of Education has a new business administrator.
He is Peter Bartlett, of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, who comes to Shore Regional from the Neptune Public School District, where he has been the system’s operations manager.
The Shore Regional Board of Education approved the hiring of Bartlett as the school business administrator and board secretary at its Sept. 23 meeting. He will be paid $90,000 a year for the 12-month-a-year job, which will be pro-rated this year based on the date when he takes up his new duties.
Bartlett replaces Nick Cammarano, who is retiring after more than three decades with the school.
In his present job in Neptune, Bartlett supervises payroll, employee benefits and personnel records, manages unemployment and workers’ compensation, prepares the district’s annual application for state school aid, and takes on whatever special projects are assigned to him by the business administrator and assistant business administrator.
In other action, the board approved the choice of “Seussical” as the school play for this year. The play will be presented 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25 and 26; March 4, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27; and at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, March 5.
The board noted that the lyrics and book for “Seussical” are by Lynn Ahrens and the music and book are by Stephen Flaherty along with Eric Idle.
Leonard G. Schnappauf, superintendent/principal, announced the newly renovated library at the high school, which has been named for board member Russell T. Olivadotti, will be dedicated at 7 p.m. on Oct. 27.
