OCEAN TOWNSHIP — The Ocean Township Police Department is investigating whether there are additional victims of a township man who was charged with luring last week.

On Sept. 27 at approximately 5:45 p.m., Majed F. Aad, 60, of Willow Drive, was arrested at the BJ’s Wholesale Club store on Highway 35 and charged with attempting to lure a 15 year-old township girl back to his home, according to Detective Lt. Antonio Amodio.

The girl was shopping with her mother and, while they were separated by a few aisles, she was approached by the accused, according to Amodio.

Aad put his hand on the girl’s shoulder and engaged in conversation with her, according to Amodio, who said the accused offered to pay the girl $100 if she would accompany him back to his apartment.

The girl distanced herself from the accused and told her mother what had happened, police said. Her mother notified store security, and security called the police department and apprehended the accused until the police arrived on the scene, Amodio said.

Aad was being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold Township on $50,000 bail.
