Nonrefundable registration fee is $10. Spaces are limited and will be assigned on a first-come basis. Artists and crafters should provide their own table/exhibits. A limited number of easels and tables may be provided on a reserved basis. Checks should be made payable to Borough of South River.

Milltown Dems to host
Columbus Day dinner
The Milltown Democratic Committee will celebrate Columbus Day with its 17th annual Pasta Feast from 4-8 p.m. on Oct. 11 at Joyce Kilmer American Legion Post, John F. Kennedy Drive and Washington Avenue, Milltown.
The all-you-can-eat Italian dinner will feature pasta, meatballs, salad, rolls with butter, coffee, tea and dessert.
Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Cost is $12 for adults, $9 for senior citizens, $5 for children.

The Helmetta Recreation Department will hold its first Boroughwide Garage Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 9 at private homes in the borough. A list of participating homes may be obtained at 8 a.m. at Borough Hall, Main Street.

U. Mass band to appear
at EBHS competition
The East Brunswick High School (EBHS) Marching Band will present its sixth annual Marching Band Competition beginning at 7 p.m. on Oct. 9 at Jay Doyle Field at the high school, Cranbury Road. Rain date is Oct. 10.
The event, which is sanctioned by the Tournament of Bands, will feature marching units from throughout the state. There will be a special performance by the 300-member University of Massachusetts Marching Band.
Admission is $6 at the gate.
