EAST WINDSOR Local business owners will have a chance to meet their peers during a Business Card Exchange.
On Oct. 19, all local businesses are invited to attend the free event sponsored by the Economic Development Committee from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the main lobby of the Windsor Corporate Park at Old Trenton Road and Millstone Road.
This is the second Business Card Exchange that the Economic Development Committee has hosted, Mayor Janice Mironov said.
"This event will provide an opportunity for township business owners to network and make contacts with other area business people, thereby hopefully strengthening business relationships within the township," Mayor Mironov said. "The event also will enable business people to meet informally with township officials and staff to discuss any issues or ideas."
Mayor Mironov said there is usually a good turnout for the event. She said about 75 people came to the past Business Card Exchange held in early May.
The mayor said the township is "proud of the growing business sector and its contribution to the community."
"This event, in partnership with the Economic Development Committee, is intended to continue to build the important bridges between the private business sector and township government," she said.
The Economic Development Committee is an advisory committee appointed by the Township Council.
"It seeks to promote business growth and development in the township," Mayor Mironov said.
