Kinsey will better serve Millstone

When I moved to Millstone seven years ago, Bob Kinsey was one of the first people to welcome my family to the community. Since then, I’ve gotten to know Bob pretty well and I wanted to take a few minutes to share my reasons for supporting his election to the Millstone Township Committee. I hope this helps other Millstone residents as they struggle with casting their vote in this very important election.

First and foremost, Bob is a family man who has grown roots in this township and cares deeply about it’s future. He has a background in accounting and developed several successful business ventures from the ground up. I’ve witnessed both his diligent work ethic and his collaborative approach to solving problems. These are two qualities that I believe differentiate Bob from his opponent.

Building a business from the ground up requires commitment, perseverance, and hard work. Making it successful requires a lot of preparation. Bob is a person who does his homework. You may have seen him at township meetings taking notes. If he is elected, I expect that he will arrive at meetings fully prepared with the facts and data he needs to make the right decisions. He won’t be struggling to complete his assignment during the meeting, asking irritating questions, and frustrating others in the process.

No single committee member can solve the problems we have in this township single-handedly. We need someone who can collaborate with others and achieve positive results. I’ve seen Bob’s approach to solving problems many times.

It often starts with phone calls to people who know more about the problem than he does. The result is invariably a workable solution achieved by a consensus of people. This demonstrates Bob’s openness in asking for help, his respect for the opinion of others, and his ability to drive to a resolution. View any of the committee meetings, and you will observe that problems, some of which are fairly serious, are not being solved.

Instead of a spirit of collaboration, there is a flurry of questions, innuendoes, and accusations that have made the meetings an embarrassment. The status quo is obviously not effective, and unless we elect Bob, it will only get worse.

As you mull over your options for voting over the next few weeks, I hope you are able to distinguish between the candidate who provides mere rhetoric and the candidate who can provide meaningful results. I’m voting for Bob Kinsey and I hope that you will, too.
