Andrews should come clean over Oct. 3 incident

Was Mr. Ralph Andrews — a Democratic candidate for the North Brunswick Council — given preferential treatment following his accident Oct. 3 at 3 a.m.? Mr. Andrews was charged with reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident. He declined to say where he was before the accident.

He hit a parked van in his neighborhood so hard, it knocked a sedan in front of it 100 feet away. His neighbor’s car was left in the middle of the street. After someone was seen letting Mr. Andrews into his house, the neighbor called the police. Another neighbor saw three police cruisers and close to five officers outside Andrews’ door. Police banged on the door for half an hour. Andrews did not let the police into his house.

There are just too many unanswered questions regarding this accident: where was he coming from at 3 a.m. on Sunday? Why was his neighbor’s hit car left in the middle of the street? Why did he not seek medical treatment for his injury? Why did he not allow police into his house? Why didn’t the other person in his house open the door when the police knocked? Was alcohol involved in the accident? Is this a political cover-up by the North Brunswick Democrats? What are the North Brunswick Democrats hiding? Since Mr. Andrews is running for public office, I expect answers to these questions.
