Drive-in, drop-off food collection slated in O.B.

The Old Bridge Food Bank will hold its first Drive-In Drop-Off Food Collection from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the food bank in the municipal complex, Route 516.

Individuals who drive their nonperishable donations to the food bank need not leave their cars. Volunteers will meet the donors at their cars and collect the donations.

Most-needed items are Spaghettios; spaghetti sauce; fruit juice; canned tuna; canned tomatoes; macaroni and cheese; flavored rice; cereal; pancake mix; pancake syrup; shampoo; bath soap; toothpaste; toothbrushes; toilet paper; and canned carrots, peas, pork and beans, white potatoes, sauerkraut, beets, soups and fruit. All donations, however, will be appreciated.
