The Food Pantry is running low on a few items, and it needs some help from the community to restock, said South Brunswick Director of Health and Human Services LouAnne Wolf.
Ms. Wolf said the pantry is down to six boxes of cereal, 20 cans of tomato sauce and is also in short supply of canned vegetables, fruit and various snacks.
The food pantry is a township-run operation that provides food year round to families in need. The pantry also runs a holiday program in which local residents and corporations donate food and presents for families and their children. Ms. Wolf has said the pantry provides for about 25 families a month.
Anyone interested in donating items to the pantry can bring them to the Food Pantry located in the senior center between 8:30 and 4 p.m. during the week and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The food pantry will move to its new location in a trailer near the recreation center in Woodlot Park on Nov. 1.
