Halloween costumes sought to help needy kids

  • United Way of Ocean County is encouraging the community to support children in need of Halloween costumes. Each year, the Family Health Center distributes costumes to local children so they can enjoy trick-or-treating with their peers. This year, United Way wants to make a greater impact in the community and get everyone involved in making a difference.
  • Halloween costumes will be collected from through Oct. 20 and will be distributed to children in Ocean County. The costumes may be dropped off at The Family Health Center, 301 Lakehurst Road, Toms River; Big Brothers Big Sisters, 85 Williams Street, Lakewood; Vetgroup, 103 Route 9 and Lacey Road (little blue house), Forked River; Dottie’s House, 1508 Beaver Dam Road, Point Pleasant; 2141 Route 88 East, Brick; and the United Way Office, 1144 Hooper Ave., Toms River.
