Honesty, sincerity are candidate’s hallmarks

I want to take this opportunity to demonstrate my strong support for Ward 1 councilman Bob Volkert in his run to fill out the final year of the late Joe Hoff’s Township Council term.

Since being named to replace our beloved Mr. Hoff nearly a year ago, Councilman Volkert has displayed an honesty and sincerity that is rarely seen in politicians.

Councilman Volkert has been very successful in getting things accomplished in the ward. The Genoa section of Old Bridge, where I live, is currently in the process of being hooked up to the town’s sewer system, and Bob was very vocal in his fight to have this work done. I have been living here for 50 years with a cesspool, and I can’t tell you what a treat it’s going to be. The way it is now, you can’t even hold an outdoor barbecue because of the cesspool’s odor.

Bob Volkert is very concerned about the well-being of the public. He made sure that the final phase of Waterfront Park was begun, and he’s extremely approachable whenever one has to contact him with a problem. Bob does all in his power to make things right for the people.

Support Bob Volkert on Election Day by voting for him to finish out the term as Ward 1 councilman. He’s my choice.
