To the editor:
Give me a break.
On election day, the voters of Middlesex County will be asked to cast their vote for the position of sheriff. Unfortunately, the Democratic candidate has not been seen in public for months.
It is important in this election that the candidates be seen and available to answer questions about their positions on the issues pertinent to the office to which they seek election. So far the Middlesex County Democratic Organization has not produced their sheriff candidate live and in public.
In our legal system we have a writ of habeas corpus, generally accepted to mean "produce the body." The time has come for a writ of habeas candidate to be presented to the Middlesex County Democratic Organization, requesting them to produce their candidate.
I hope this will prod them to show us, the citizens and taxpayers, the "real thing."
