Eryn C. Murphy, 19, of East Windsor was charged with shoplifting cosmetics valued at $65.84 from Drug Fair at 10:36 a.m., Oct. 4.
Ms. Murphy was transported to the Somerset County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Two Knopf Street residents reported the driver’s side front and rear tires of their vehicles were slashed during the night Oct. 4.
The damage is estimated at $250 for each of the two vehicles.
Brian E. Ganous, 49, of Kennedy Boulevard, was charged with disorderly conduct at 11:17 a.m., Oct. 5.
Mr. Ganous was processed at police headquarters, transported to the Somerset County Jail and later released on $1,000 bail.
Two Manville residents were taken into custody Oct. 6 and 7 as part of the Somerset County prosecutor’s office’s fugitive roundup, according to a release from Prosecutor Wayne J. Forrest’s office.
Michael Shubiak, 47, of South 20th Avenue was charged with failure to appear in court on charges of possession of controlled dangerous substances.
Margaret McCaffrey, 41, of Valerie Drive also failed to appear in court to answer a charge of possession of controlled dangerous substances on a warrant out of Union County.
School officials at Alexander Batcho Intermediate School reported finding a dead crow near the home bleachers of the high school track at 11 a.m., Oct. 6.
Police contacted the Board of Health, which advised there is no threat of West Nile virus this time of year. Crows and blue jays are known to carry the disease, which can be transmitted to humans through mosquito bites.
School employees disposed of the bird.
Michael Gill, 26, of Huff Avenue was charged with disorderly conduct at 1:43 a.m., Oct. 7. Numerous callers had reported a fight in the road in front of the Northside Bar on Brooks Boulevard.
Mr. Gill was processed and released, pending an appearance in municipal court.
Pawel Serafin, 23, of Hillsborough was charged with driving while intoxicated after police stopped his vehicle on South Main Street at 11:54 p.m., Oct. 8.
Mr. Serafin was processed at police headquarters and released, pending an appearance in court. His car was towed.
The weekend manager of Ted’s Market reported the theft of breakfast rolls from the front of the store at 6:13 a.m., Oct. 10.
The rolls, valued at $14, had been delivered around 4 a.m.
