Young men and women ages 14-20 who are interested in outdoor activities are invited to attend a Boy Scouts of America Venture Crew No. 36 open house at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 29 at the Old Bridge Lions Club, 46 Madison Ave.

Duke Farms to be topic
at Sierra Club meeting
The next general membership meeting of the Sierra Club Raritan Valley Group (Middlesex and Somerset counties) will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 20 at the Unitarian Society of New Brunswick, 176 Tices Lane, East Brunswick.
Paul Smith, resident superintendent at historic Duke Farms, Hillsborough, will offer a presentation on the Duke estate. Topics will include the estate’s natural habitat and the hiking, biking and birding opportunities available to the public at the estate.
