To the editor:
You must admit a mistake to fix a mistake. During Friday’s debate, President George W. Bush was asked to name three mistakes, and his only response was that he was unhappy with certain appointments in effect passing the blame on to the people he had appointed.
President Bush’s failure to recognize his errors goes a long way toward explaining why so many of our country’s problems are getting worse during his tenure.
