Lakewood’s Annual Halloween Fun Festival, sponsored by the Township Committee in cooperation with the police and fire departments, is scheduled for Oct. 31 at 5 p.m. at Town Square, Third Street and Clifton Avenue. The event, which is geared towards children ages 3-12, will feature a costume contest with awards going to four age groups, face painting, pumpkin decorating, Buster the Lakewood BlueClaws mascot, treats and candy, police and fire department displays, and more. In the event of inclement weather, the festival will be held inside of Lakewood High School, 855 Somerset Ave.
