Joseph P. Casey

Mr. Casey, 66, of North Brunswick, died Oct. 17 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Washington, D.C., prior to moving to North Brunswick 34 years ago. He was vice president of Data Systems Management Inc., Piscataway. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, North Brunswick. He is survived by his wife, Anne Marie Longo Casey; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph P. and Suzanne Casey Jr. of Richmond, Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea Casey and Rob Lenhart, and Tara Casey and Alan Dow, all of Richmond; two sisters, Peggy Concannon of New York City, and Agnes Finch of Metuchen; three brothers, James Casey of Ardsley-on-Hudson, N.Y., and Austin Casey and Jack Casey, both Los Angeles; and five grandsons. A funeral service will be Oct. 21 at 9:45 a.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church. Nunzie A. Sandella

Mr. Sandella, 81, of Yorktown, Va., and formerly North Brunswick, died Oct. 11 at home. Born in Princeton, he had resided in the Rocky Hill section of South Brunswick, New Brunswick and North Brunswick before moving to Yorktown in 2003. Mr. Sandella was a liquor salesman at Merchants Wine and Liquor Co., Merchantville, for 22 years, retiring in 1984. Prior to that, he worked at Phillipsburg Wine and Liquor. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II, and took part in the Pacific, New Guinea and Luzon campaigns. He was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Joseph Sandella. He is survived by his wife, Ann Prekop Sandella; a daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and Michael Kohut of Yorktown; and a granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Oct. 23 at 9 a.m. at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick, is in charge of arrangements.

Michael Antonelli

Mr. Antonelli, 78, of North Brunswick, died Oct. 5 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New York City, he resided in Pleasant Valley and Yonkers, both N.Y., before moving to North Brunswick two years ago. Mr. Antonelli was a service manager at Mark Buick, Yonkers, for more than 15 years, retiring in 1998. Prior to that, he was employed at various other New York-area car dealerships. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Marie A. Trotti Antonelli, in 2003. He is survived by two daughters, Cathy Guberer of Branchburg and Jeannie Gee of Connecticut; a son, Peter Antonelli of Yonkers; a sister, Angelina Antonelli of Larchmont, N.Y.; four brothers, Joseph, Mario, Nicholas and Leonard Antonelli, all of Westchester County, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Elizabeth Daniel Koskolis

Mrs. Koskolis, 82, of North Brunswick, died Oct. 13 at McCarrick Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin Township. Born in New Brunswick, she resided in Somerset prior to moving to North Brunswick in 1967. She was a retired telephone operator supervisor at the U.S. Postal Service, New Brunswick. Prior to that, she was a telephone supervisor at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. She was a former communicant of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Koskolis in 1997. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Paszamant of North Brunswick; a brother, John Daniel of New Brunswick; two grandsons; and a great-granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, North Brunswick. Burial was at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Mildred R. “Millie” Tavalare Scordo

Mrs. Scordo, 85, of North Brunswick, died Oct. 12 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a lifelong resident of North Brunswick. She was employed in the quality control department at Johnson and Johnson, North Brunswick, for 27 years, retiring in 1979. She was also a past president of the Johnson and Johnson Golden Age Club. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. She was a member of the North Brunswick Recreation Commission. She was also a past president of the North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company No. 3 Ladies Auxiliary, North Brunswick Pioneers Club, and Adams Ladies Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank J. Scordo Sr. in 1965; two sisters, Josephine Orso and Rose Tavalare; and a brother, Anthony Tavalare. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Patricia Scordo of Metuchen; a daughter and son-in-law, Bernadette and John Calandruccio of North Brunswick; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Mike Lacik of North Brunswick; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Mary’s Church. Interment was at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Anna Fitzpatrick Vasata

Mrs. Vasata, 89, of Old Bridge, died Oct. 8 in Park Place Center, Monmouth Junction of South Brunswick. Her husband, William Vasata, died in 1976. Surviving are a son, William Vasata of Old Bridge; a daughter, Carol Adinolfi of Spotswood; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Eleanore DeRiggi Evans

Mrs. Evans, 83, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Oct. 4 at home. Her husband, Leroy J. Evans Sr., died in 1984. Surviving are two sons, Leroy Evans Jr. of Parlin and Robert Evans of South Brunswick; a sister, Adeline Monetti of Lakewood; and two grandsons, Robert C. Evans and James P. Evans. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
