  • Mildred R. “Millie” Tavalare Scordo
  • Mrs. Scordo, 85, of North Brunswick, died Oct. 12 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a lifelong resident of North Brunswick. She was employed in the quality control department at Johnson and Johnson, North Brunswick, for 27 years, retiring in 1979. She was also a past president of the Johnson and Johnson Golden Age Club. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. She was a member of the North Brunswick Recreation Commission. She was also a past president of the North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company No. 3 Ladies Auxiliary, North Brunswick Pioneers Club, and Adams Ladies Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank J. Scordo Sr. in 1965; two sisters, Josephine Orso and Rose Tavalare; and a brother, Anthony Tavalare. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Patricia Scordo of Metuchen; a daughter and son-in-law, Bernadette and John Calandruccio of North Brunswick; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Mike Lacik of North Brunswick; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Mary’s Church. Interment was at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

    Joseph P. Casey

    Mr. Casey, 66, of North Brunswick, died Oct. 17 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Washington, D.C., prior to moving to North Brunswick 34 years ago. He was vice president of Data Systems Management Inc., Piscataway. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, North Brunswick. He is survived by his wife, Anne Marie Longo Casey; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph P. and Suzanne Casey Jr. of Richmond, Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea Casey and Rob Lenhart, and Tara Casey and Alan Dow, all of Richmond; two sisters, Peggy Concannon of New York City, and Agnes Finch of Metuchen; three brothers, James Casey of Ardsley-on-Hudson, N.Y., and Austin Casey and Jack Casey, both Los Angeles; and five grandsons. A funeral service was held at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at Our Lady of Peace Church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 846 Main St., Fords 08863.

    Katherine L. Keleher

    Mrs. Keleher, of Monroe, formerly of the Iselin and Colonia sections of Woodbridge, died Oct. 15. Surviving are her husband, John; three daughters, Denise Kolibas of Iselin, Lorraine Keleher of West Newton, Mass., and Karen Statkus of Jamesburg; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Cecilia’s Church, Iselin. Interment was in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.
