Alton "Shorty" Hileman, 88, of Millstone, died Sunday, Oct. 17, at Freehold Center State Hospital.
A long time resident of South Brunswick, Mr. Hileman was born Oct. 8, 1917 in Ford Cliff, Manor Township, Pa. He was the son of Calvin and Myrtle (Dickey) Hileman.
Mr. Hileman was the owner of Barber’s Camping Center, located on Route 1, South Brunswick, for 30 years. Retired from Automatic Sprinkler System, Mr. Hileman also served in the United States Army during his lifetime.
His wife, Olive (Stivason) Hileman, died April 5, 2001. He is survived by his son, Richard (Dick) Hileman of Millstone; three daughters, Judith Voorhees of South Brunswick, Marcia Hamrysky of Warrenton, Va., and Ruth Kazanski of East Windsor; two brothers, Andrew and James of Ford City, Pa.; a sister, Thelma Hobbs of Millstone; and 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services were held privately. In lieu of donations, please cast a vote for Bush.
