Police are searching for two former township residents who are wanted in connection with four burglaries that occurred between Oct. 4 and Oct. 22.
Police said they have collected enough evidence from the first incident, which occurred on Old Beekman Road, to issue arrest warrants for Kenneth J. Arhakos, 21, and Jessica Wadsworth, 21.
South Brunswick police spokesman Detective James Ryan said the pair, who are thought to be homeless, have not yet been charged with the other three burglaries, but since the pattern of all four incidents is similar, police would like to question them about possible involvement in the other burglaries.
Detective Ryan said that police have determined through previous dealings with the suspects that the fugitives have known drug problems. He said police believe that to be their motivation.
Detective Ryan said the burglaries all occurred in the afternoon. The master bedroom of the houses were targeted and jewelry was stolen, he said.
The two latest burglaries occurred on Oct. 22 on Henderson Road near Route 27 in Kendall Park and on Old Road near Route 27 in Little Rocky Hill, police said. The second burglary took place on Oct. 15 on Henderson Road near Route 27 and the first burglary occurred on Oct. 4 on Old Beekman Road.
Police said Mr. Arhakos and Ms. Wadsworth previously lived in South Brunswick on New Road but are currently homeless. Police said they believe the two are living in Mr. Arhakos’ 2000 red Ford Explorer with New Jersey license plate number RJL50K in area parking lots.
Detective Ryan said police have followed leads throughout the county about the suspects whereabouts but could not locate them.
Anyone with information about the suspects’ whereabouts should call Detective James Ryan at (732) 329-4646.
