Bagel store robbed

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — Police are looking for two men who robbed a bagel store at gunpoint during the early morning hours of Oct. 25.

The men entered Mr. Bagel on West Main Street at about 2:40 a.m. According to police, a black handgun was displayed. The men demanded that an employee empty his pockets and the register.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the men fled from the store on foot.

The suspects are described as being Hispanic, about 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing dark clothing with unknown sports logos on their shirts.

The victim called 911 and Freehold Township police officers responded. Officers with the Manalapan K-9 unit assisted with tracking the suspects.

The continuing investigation is being led by Freehold Township police Detective Troy Braxton and Officer Patrick Fallon.
