‘Red Bank Reflections’ opens at library Nov. 9

  • Red Bank Public Library, 84 W. Front St., will display photos by Red Bank photographer Don Rothman, “Red Bank Reflections,” Nov. 9-Dec. 30.
  • The display of 12 photos features Red Bank storefronts taken by Rothman with a digital camera. The resident has been taking pictures in New Jersey for more than 50 years. He has been a general surgeon at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, the past 30 years.

    Library hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call the library at (732) 842-0690.

    Jazz, ragtime concert

    slated for Nov. 12, 13

    Two River Theatre Company, Red Bank, will present “This Is Ragtime — Terry Waldo in Concert” Nov. 12 and 13 at 8 p.m. at the Universalist Congregation, 1475 W. Front St., Lincroft section of Middletown.

    The production features American jazz and ragtime music, with a history given by Terry Waldo. Tickets are $15 and only 200 are available.

    Navesink Garden Club to meet Nov. 9

    The Navesink Garden Club, Red Bank, will hold its next meeting Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, White Street, Red Bank. Lunch will follow the meeting.

    Master Gardeners and members Rosemarie Kopka and Colleen Cassidy will discuss what a master gardener is and what gardeners do, and how to become a master gardener. Master gardener Pam Sutton will discuss container gardening, and Dian Woodroffe will talk about critter control. Master gardener Ralone Green will discuss amaryllis bulbs.
