Women’s group selling Allentown afghans

The Woman’s Association of Allentown announced that the new shipment of WAA afghans are navy blue, and the women’s group also has cranberry and forest green afghans on hand. The afghans feature images of the Old Mill, Allentown Public School, Imlay House, John Clutch House, Newell House, Allentown Public Library, Farmers National Bank, Allentown Mill Pond, and Abel Cafferty House. The afghans are $45, with proceeds going to fund WAA projects. To order or for further information, call Janice at (609) 259-2044, or stop by the Village Pharmacy, Allentown Public Library or Allentown Auto Body.

The next meeting of WAA will be held Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Allentown Public Library. President Meg Smith will preside and will discuss the holiday projects that WAA takes on each year to beautify the community and bring cheer to local children, including the visit from Santa on Caroling Night, which will be held on the first Sunday in December.
