Albert W. Giere, 91, of Jamesburg, died Saturday, Nov. 6, in McCarrick Care Center in Somerset.
Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he was a longtime Rossmoor resident. He was an Army veteran of World War II, participating in the Normandy invasion and other major European campaigns. While in the military, Mr. Giere attained the rank of master sergeant. He retired from the accounting department of Mutual of New York Insurance in New York City.
His mother, Julia Dexhiemer Giere, and wife, Dorothy (Gimble) Giere, are deceased. He is survived by his two nephews, Donald A. Rottmann of Cortland, N.Y., and Warren L. Rottmann of Minneapolis.
Funeral services will be held privately. Arrangements are under the direction of A.S. Son & Co., 22 North Main St., Cranbury.
