On Saturday, Nov. 13, the Cranbury Cub Scout Pack 52 and Cranbury Boy Scout Troop 52 will be collecting food and hygiene donations to be distributed to those in need through TASK and Cranbury churches.
Last week the Scouts distributed collection bags throughout town. They will pick up the filled bags on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. If you didn’t receive a collection bag, any bag or box will do. Just remember to fill it with non-perishable items and leave it on your doorstep. Hygiene items also are in great demand this time of year.
Items such as soap, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste, diapers and formula will be accepted, along with winter clothing such as socks, mittens, coats and pants. If your donation has not been picked up by 1 p.m. please call Fran Stewart at (609) 395-7159. You may also bring your donation to the First Presbyterian Church where sorting will take place.

The Princeton High School studio band will be holding its first community dance of the season on Friday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. The concert will be held in the Princeton High School cafeteria at 151 Moore St.
Following on the heels of its sweep at the Heritage Music Festival in Montreal, Canada last May, the band is primed for an incredible year. With a few brilliant new additions to the band and a smaller than usual loss of graduating seniors, the band is light-years ahead of where it normally is this time of year. So put on your dancing shoes or just come to listen and treat yourself to an evening of great swing and big-band music.
Refreshments will be available. Tickets are $5 at the door. Please note that on-going construction at the high school means there is no parking or access to the cafeteria from the rear of the building.

Congratulations to Dr. Dennis White who recently invented, patented and produced a verifier that confirms the accuracy of dental impressions. Dr. White has had a dental practice in the Cranbury area for 28 years. Pankey Institute, which is a center for advanced dental education in central Florida, recently purchased 40 verifiers. Dr. White hopes dental students nationwide will soon use the verifier.
