Cheerleading squads earn trip to Florida

The Millstone Pop Warner Midget and Junior PeeWee Cheerleading squads both earned honors at a regional competition Nov. 21 at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton.

The Midget squad took first place in its division and the Junior PeeWee squad won second place in its division, earning both squads a trip to the national competition at Walt Disney World in Florida in early December. This is the first year of competition for both squads.

The girls are seeking supporters to help defray the cost of the trip to the nationals. Anyone interested in helping the girls’ efforts to raise funds for the trip can call John Curran, (908) 253-1574, or send donations to MEFCBC, P.O. Box 457, Perrineville 08535.
