The Volunteer Center of Monmouth County is seeking volunteers for several area opportunities. The Center also has holiday families for adoption, gift lists and needed food items for more than 20 nonprofits in Monmouth County.
A Tinton Falls senior center seeks volunteers to teach residents the basics of computers, and volunteers to assist residents with crafts. Monmouth County animal adoption center needs volunteers Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A family-based services association of Monmouth County needs drivers to transport families to and from support group meetings, and provide care to children with emotional/behavioral challenges weeknights from 6-10 p.m. A stipend is offered, and minimum age requirement is 21. Volunteers are also needed for special events and holiday programs. A Red Bank-based organization needs several volunteers for a holiday concert Nov. 26 from 4:30-9:30 p.m. Individuals age 16 and older are needed to act as information points, set up barricades, and other duties.
A hospice organization will hold an open house for potential volunteers to come and meet its team caring for Monmouth County residents Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. Training will be provided for all potential volunteers. Volunteers are needed to greet visitors for a Christmas party Dec. 4 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and Dec. 5 from noon-3:30 p.m.
A hostess is needed to assist in greeting, seating and serving guests at a “Resident, Family and Friends Christmas Party” Dec. 5 from 1:30-5 p.m. An arts and crafts instructor is needed to demonstrate and assist event attendees with making crafts Dec. 18 from 1-3 p.m. Volunteers are needed the week of Dec. 6 to help label, sort and bag presents for the needy. Volunteers are needed to help sort items for a “holiday giveaway” Dec. 13 and Dec. 14. A volunteer is needed to assist in greeting, seating and serving residents at a Christmas party for residents Dec. 17 from 2-3:30 p.m.
