‘Mostly Martha,’ holiday programs at Brookdale

The International Center at Brookdale Community College, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown, will present the German film “Mostly Martha” Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in room 100 of the NAS building. Admission is free.

The story revolves around Martha, the chef at a restaurant, and how her routine changes when her sister dies in an accident and Martha has to take in her 8-year-old niece. Lina. She receives help from her sous-chef, and just as the trio begin to return to normalcy, Lina’s missing father arrives announcing he wants her back. For more information, call (732) 224-2799.

The Brookdale Computer Users Group Inc. will welcome Detective Ed Finlay, who will present “Protecting Yourself from Internet Crime” Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at NAS room 100. Finlay is part of the Monmouth County Computer Crimes Unit. He will discuss the effect of criminal enterprises involving computers in Monmouth County. For more information, visit www.bcug.com.

The performing arts center will present the family musical “Everything Holidays” Dec. 3, 4, 10 and 11 at 8 p.m., and Dec. 5 and 12 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $18, $15 for seniors age 62 and older and Brookdale faculty and staff, and non-Brookdale students, and $10 for Brookdale students (with current ID).

The choreographer is Yvonne Lamb of the Count Basie Theatre, Red Bank; director is Brookdale instructor Keith Heimann, Red Bank; and music director is Brookdale band director Joe Accurso, Atlantic Highlands.
