Nicholas A. Gallo

Mr. Gallo, 76, of East Brunswick, died Nov. 7 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Jean Reitzer Gallo; three daughters, Janet Gallo and Joanne Uhrig, both of Monroe, and Denise Beninato of Edison; a brother, Dennis Gallo of Seminole, Fla.; a sister, Marie Gallo, also of Seminole; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Memorial contributions may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th St. NW, Washington, DC 20037.

Jane Woronowicz Sudowski

Mrs. Sudowski, 97, of South River, died Nov. 14 in Sunrise Assisted Living of East Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1989, she was co-owner of J&A Woronowicz and Brothers Handkerchief Manufacturing, South River, where she worked with her family for 70 years. She was predeceased by her husband, John Sudowski. Surviving are three brothers, Sylvester of Annville, Pa., Michael of South River and Carl of Sayreville; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Mary W. Woodward Gehrmann

Mrs. Gehrmann, 91, of East Brunswick, died Nov. 12 at Chelsea of East Brunswick. Her husband, Ernest, died in 1972. Surviving are a son, Thomas Gehrmann of East Brunswick; two daughters, Virginia Hucks of Virginia Beach, Va., and Mary Catherine Coughlin of Castine, Maine; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.

Anne Kohutek

Mrs. Kohutek, 91, of Milltown, died Nov. 7 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1987, she was a credit department manager at Sears Roebuck Co., New Brunswick, where she worked for 53 years. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1975. Surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral liturgy was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Robert Krosnowski

Mr. Krosnowski, 69, of Spotswood, formerly of South River, died Nov. 14 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Krosnowski; a stepson, Michael Kemmerer of Georgia; a stepdaughter, Cindy Miragliotta of Edison; a brother, Donald Krosnowski of Pine Brook; two sisters, Lorraine Perinks of Piscataway and Jacquelyn Krosnowski of South River; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass is planned for 11 a.m. on Nov. 18 at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.

Paul Douglas Ruane

Mr. Ruane, 54, of Monroe, died Nov. 7 at home. He was employed as a furniture technician at Value City Furniture, East Brunswick. A son, Sean Paul Ruane, died in June. Surviving are his wife, Anne Marie “Nancy” Lewis Ruane; two sons, Joseph and Brian, both at home; two brothers, Jack of Boulder, Colo., and Kevin of Point Pleasant; a sister, Margaret Terry of Vero Beach, Fla.; and a grandson. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for an education fund for the deceased’s grandson.

Dorothy Delagram Swiatkowski

Mrs. Swiatkowski, 70, of East Brunswick, died Nov. 2 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Edward, died in 2003. Surviving are five sons, Robert, David and Mark, all of East Brunswick, Scott of South River and Gary of Spotswood; a daughter, Debbie Stralkus of East Brunswick; a brother, Louis Delagram of Florida; a sister, L. Jane Lee of East Brunswick; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

William G. Baumann

Mr. Baumann, 42, of Jamesburg, died Nov. 6 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was employed as a shipping clerk with Blonder Tongue Labs, Old Bridge. Surviving are his brother, Larry Baumann of Lopatcong; his fiancée, Peggy Christensen; a niece, Meghan; and two nephews, Bryan and Christopher. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was private.

Louise Maryann Lada Meyers

Mrs. Meyers, of East Brunswick, died Nov. 14 in Old Bridge Manor. Her husband, Francis Meyers, died in 1965; a son, Francis X. Meyers, died in January; and a grandson, Kevin Meyers, died in 2001. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Claire Mersereau Meyers; a grandson, Michael Meyers of East Brunswick; two granddaughters, Patricia Maine and Kathleen Graciano, both of Brick; and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 18 at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Thomas P. Nugent Jr.

Mr. Nugent, 50, of Helmetta, died Nov. 12 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Petroski Nugent; a daughter, Kaelyn, and a son, Craig; his parents, Thomas P. and Florence Raneri Nugent of Old Bridge; three sisters, Susan Curran of Old Bridge, Debbie McCauley of Marlboro and Linda Nugent of East Brunswick; four brothers, Bob, Kevin, Marc and David, all of Old Bridge; and 13 nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge.

Richard J. Scarano

Mr. Scarano, 52, of Old Bridge, died Nov. 3 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his parents, Michael and Margaret Scarano of the Toms River section of Dover; four brothers, Michael and Gerard, both of Old Bridge, Gary of Highlands and Joseph of Long Beach Island; and three sisters, Kathleen Mercurio of Toms River, Patricia Masciulli of Milltown and Maria Camapanale of Lakewood. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville. A memorial Mass will be offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge, at a date and time to be determined. Memorial contributions may be made to Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division.

Vivian Barkan Lopatin

Mrs. Lopatin, 75, of Monroe, formerly of East Brunswick and the Colonia section of Woodbridge, died Nov. 8 at home. She co-founded Kopy Kat Instant Print, East Brunswick, with her husband, Irving. She later co-founded Micro Central, Old Bridge, with her husband and her son, Jay. Surviving are her husband, Irving; two sons, Jay of East Brunswick and Matt of Avondale, Pa.; a daughter, Risa Stolly of Bethlehem, Pa.; two sisters, Frances Sherman of Old Bridge and Sylvia Rimm of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; and four grandchildren. Services were held at East Brunswick Jewish Center. Interment was in Workmen’s Circle Cemetery, Freehold. Memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah.
