To the editor:
I live in South Brunswick but decided to go for a long walk down South Middlebush Road on Thanksgiving day. Holidays become a time of tension and I felt I just need to enjoy the outside.
The rain suddenly came pouring down and all I did was pray. A very nice man with his children stopped and offered me a ride to New Brunswick. My plans were to pray in the chapel. James mentioned he was from the New York/New Jersey border and visiting his parents in Kendall Park. I like to think that people are good and they mostly are.
My purpose for writing this letter is that god lives in all of us and was revealed in this fine man who not only helped me but gave me his red jacket. James drives a blue car, is tall, slender with the nicest personality and blue eyes. Should James’ parents read this letter, please contact the South Brunswick Post so I can return his jacket to you.
It was pouring rain on Thanksgiving and because I was so embarrassed I thanked him and left to go pray in the chapel. James restored my faith in humanity and then I realized that I had so much to be grateful for. I remember James saying we are more alike than we are different.
