Marcia E. (Schpetner) Wiedis, 75, of South Brunswick, died Thursday, Dec. 9, at her residence.
Born in New York City, Ms. Wiedis had resided in Fairlawn and Maywood before moving to South Brunswick in 1965.
She retired in 1991 after more than 30 years as a Registered Dietician for the Medical Center at Princeton. Ms. Wiedis received her bachelor’s degree from Hunter College in New York.
A strong family oriented woman, Ms. Wiedis was an excellent cook; a voracious reader and also enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She was a longtime member of the American Dietetic Association.
Her parents, Sidney and Selma (Weinberg) Schpetner, and sister, Jeanne B. Schpetner, are deceased. Her son, Mark Steven Wiedis, died in 1993. She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Julie S. Wiedis of Princeton; son, David H. and daughter in-law, Miho, of West Chester, Pa.; her two grandchildren, Kahn and Kiya Wiedis; and her daughter in law, Josephine Wiedis of Franklin Parl
A Memorial Service was held Sunday, Dec. 12, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 142 Sand Hill Road, Monmouth Junction. Internment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingston First Aid and Rescue Squad, 4280 Route 27, Kingston, N.J., 08528.
Arrangements are by the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick.
